Yahoo! Rejects! Microsoft! Begs! 12! Billion! More! As expected the deal was not an instant hit with the Yahoo! board. However, does the buck stop with them? No. The shareholders may well have something to say about this. Yahoo! are holding out for $40 a share, thats a cool $12 billion more. And what if Microsoft stump up the extra? (unlikely) Will the FTC and DOJ actually let it happen? Will Google step in with a bid? (very unlikely) What about a merger with AOL? (no news on that yet)...
