Well crafter spam - Social Engineering
It takes me a few minutes every morning to delete the spam emails I have received overnight. Usually I skim over them to make sure I have not missed something important and to peruse the amusing viagra offers, penis enlargements and promises to make me "fill my woman" or "pleasure her better with my large member" before chucking them all in the trash... This morning during my usual spam removal one caught my eye a little, it's definitely spam but the content made me think for a split second and I took the time out to fully read it, check the headers and return email address etc.. It's a good un and a decent bit of social engineering designed with great PULL. It also seems to have taken my email from the very popular PR.com website, or so it says. Here's a copy! I bet it has suckered a few people in. Subject: Manager Position Hello! This is a reply to your resume on PR.com website. Our company would like to offer you the following position: Assistant Manager. This is part-time home-based position. You'll need no money and no special skills to start. This job requires only few hours during the week and is available on the whole USA territory. You can easily combine it with your main employment. If you are interested and would like to know more about our company and position offered, please drop me a line to:
